I’ll be honest, I don’t know how to market to you. Promoting music sucks ass and I have a feeling being promoted to sucks just as much.
Before SoundCloud plays, monthly Spotify users, YouTube view counts, I was googling my name daily, lurking rap forums, tracking any metric there was. I was stuck in the clout game before the clout game was the clout game. Rap’s relationship with the internet accelerated, and then my animosity and self-doubt. I had several mental breakdowns cuz my shit was more John Blaze than that. I quit rapping.
Glad I did. I put in a lot of work to circle back (sobriety, therapy, rejection, heartbreak, I’ll spare you the details).
But now I’m sitting across from you at a café convincing you to date me again. And now I can tell you I don’t care what you want. I know that you take what you can get. I’d rather give you what I have; what I have is who I am. And I am a lethal dose of the one who won’t lie to you.
Yes, this shit is fire, but so’s everything, who cares. I’m not going to ask you to share links, subscribe to my profile, send me money, I don’t even want your clicks. I just want one tiny thing—all your love and affection.
So, here, let me give you mine—these two tracks (To Myself I Love You // To Anyone Who Shit on Me I Will Never Forgive You).
FWM, May 10, 2019, we dropping the whole ass “We Live in a Society” album (vinyl, CD, all streaming platforms).
